Living in Paris is wonderful! Except for the cold... Seeking to come up with an elegant solution to her chilly outings, Diala Aschkar, a creative director and fashion editor designed head and neck coverings in different shapes and forms. Cozy Lama was born.
Balaclavas, head scarves, hats with « ribbons », caps on top or underneath covering fabric. Whether looking extravagant or wearable, the trend of warming and accessorizing the head and neck has been growing for the last 4 years. However, Diala has been drawing, researching, designing, even inventing on herself such coverings for a decade now (She lived in Paris for 15 years and is living now in Montpellier, in the South of France).
Her main inspiration is 1950’s divas, more precisely, Grace Kelly. The designs are a modern take on vintage glamour. They are original yet wearable, elegant yet practical. They can appeal to those who are looking for something different from the traditional beanie/scarf duo.
Diala Aschkar is the creative director and co-founder of the web and interactive design company 23Forward, the fashion editor and co-founder of the online fashion site Orient Palms, and the designer and founder of Cozy Lama, an accessories fashion brand.
